Early Assessment Program at CSUCI

The Early Assessment Program (EAP) is a collaborative effort among the State Board of Education, the California Department of Education and the California State University. The program was established to provide opportunities for students to measure their readiness for college-level English and mathematics in their junior year of high school, and to facilitate opportunities for them to improve their skills during their senior year.

Here at CSUCI, we are forging EAP partnerships with over 30 high schools in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. Our main goal is to increase EAP awareness at all these school sites. We also provide teacher professional development through the Reading Institute for Academic Preparation and the Expository Reading and Writing Courses.
