The School of Education is proud and excited to share that Dr. Michelle Dean, Associate Professor of Special Education was recently quoted in a New York Times article 'As We See It' Is Not a Typical Portrayal of Autism. Dr. Dean recently co-wrote a study about film and television representation of autistic characters and is an advocate for authentic representations of autism portrayals on film and television.  She has worked as a technical consultant on two TV shows (Atypical and DeanEndia) and one film (The Rosie Project).  As We See it premiered on Amazon on January 21, 2022.
