For the 2021/2022 Academic Year, the School of Education at California State University Channel Islands is proud to welcome Dr. Aura Pérez, Assistant Professor in Early Childhood Studies to the School’s team.
Dr. Aura Pérez was born in Los Angeles, California and was raised in the San Fernando Valley. She earned her Doctorate in Early Childhood Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She has 14 years of experience in the field of early childhood education and some of her past roles have included being an infant/toddler teacher, preschool teacher, early education center director, mentor teacher, and a student teacher supervisor. In her spare time, she likes to go hiking, running, travel, dabble in photography, and attend music concerts.
