Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP) PK-3 Early Childhood Education Specialist
Instruction Credential
The purpose of the Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education Studies with an Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP) PK-3 Early Childhood Education (ECE) Specialist Instruction Credential, is to provide a pathway for students to earn their Early Childhood Studies Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) and a PK-3 Early Childhood Education Specialist Instruction Credential (with the option to earn Bilingual Authorization in an additional semester) in approximately 4 years. According to the California Commission on Teaching Credentialing (CTC), the PK-3 Early Childhood Education Specialist Instruction Credential authorizes the holder to teach all subjects in a self-contained general education classroom setting and to team teach or to regroup students across classrooms, in preschool through grade three. This program is pending approval from the Comission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
